The Dirt on Composting Webinar by the Center for EcoTechology
May 27, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
FreeFood waste makes up over 20% of the Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) stream in the U.S. This waste can be managed by diverting it to feed people, feed animals, composting it, or using it for anaerobic digestion. Composting diverts food waste from the landfill, reducing methane emissions (a potent greenhouse gas), saving resources, and returning nutrients to the soil.
Have you ever wanted to start composting, but didn’t know where to begin? Or have you ever wondered about how anaerobic digestion works? Join the Center for EcoTechnology on May 27 at noon to learn about composting at home, the benefits of anaerobic digestion, and more! Register here to learn all about turning waste into black gold. Each attendee will be entered into a raffle for the chance to win a Green Gift Basket, so register today!
